Welcome to the OFFICIAL Kenosha Bradford High School Alumni Association, Inc. (KBHSAA) website!  We encourage all alumni to join  KBHSAA, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organization.  You'll find the Membership & Donation Form here.  This is the Alumni Association's only endorsed, official website.

KBHSAA is your source for authentic Spy yearbooks and Alumni T-shirts.  Proceeds from the sale of these items, along with membership dues and donations, support KBHSAA programs, such as our Scholarship Fund, the Distinguished Alumni Award program, our biannual Newsletter (secure content available online for KBHSAA members) and Class Reunion Committee financial support.  Each year, we support publication of Bradford High School's Spy yearbook with placement of a full-page ad.  All the funds we raise stay in the Bradford High School community you recall from your high school days.

Don't be taken in by organizations claiming a connection with our alma mater, Bradford High School, and our local community in Kenosha, WI.

Did you know you can generate donations for KBHSAA as you shop online?

We have listed KBHSAA on the website www.iGive.com in the hopes of generating income for the Alumni Association.  (Here's how it works:  iGive is a free service to causes and members.  There are no costs/obligations, no hidden fees.  iGive members can generate donations by shopping at any of 1700+ Stores.  As a member, when you shop via iGive special links, an "iGive Cookie" is assigned to your browser.  This tells the store, "Here is an iGive Member," using a meaningless member ID number.  The store reports back with this number and the amounts for the donation to your cause; you'll receive an email confirming the donation amount earned by your purchase once the order has shipped.  (iGive never has any access to any payment information.)

How can you help?  Register at the iGive website and choose Kenosha Bradford High School Alumni Association, Inc. as the cause you wish to support.  Visit the iGive store list and heart the stores you shop regularly, then click on the iGive "My Stores" link and bookmark it on your desktop.  You don't need to enter any codes, notify the store or iGive... it is all automatic, as along as you start your online shopping excursion from the iGive Store list.

Please tell your fellow classmates about this program... it's a quick and easy process that can do much good for KBHSAA. Thanks in advance for your consideration and for supporting the Alumni Association.

08/16/2025:  Jodi Williams, Bradford Theatre Arts teacher, recently sat down with us to discuss their upcoming production of The Christmas Carol, a joint project of the Bradford Fine Arts programs, which will include band, choir, orchestra and dance students, as well as the visual arts – groups that are not usually part of theater arts productions.

Her passion for theater was clearly evident as she explained “it is about so much more than just learning lines and blocking. Storytelling is fundamental to the human experience and key to building understanding. We deeply believe in the power of theater to build a better school and a closer community. We will be auditioning younger students from Bullen & Washington to play the smaller children's roles. We discovered how open we could be when we invited our faculty and staff to be more than just audience members.  Having adults join the students for last year’s production of CLUE opened a whole new set of possibilities. And we’ve decided to try it again with the Dickens classic.”

The Christmas Carol will be entered in the International Thespian Festival's Mainstage Competition. The show will be recorded and sent to the Educational Theater Association's adjudicators for review.  Jodi tells us, “The competition is stiff, and we will be up for consideration with a number of other Wisconsin schools, as well as schools from across the country. Last year 73 productions applied, only eight were chosen to perform. We want to enter this year with a production we feel truly represents the splendid support Kenosha has for all of its arts programs. It is unique and to be cherished.”

We are checking with the festival to see what the rules are on adult performers. Adults participating will have their roles doubled by students in the cast, to ensure we can enter the show in the festival and still have our community be a part of the show.

Jodi explained their biggest challenges this year revolve around funding.  The Christmas Carol will cost approximately $24,000 to produce. This isn't unusual for a large show, where we must cover royalties, materials, licensing for the music, design positions, music direction positions and sound engineers. We anticipate costumes to be a heavy lift for this piece, and we have to build the set. This show also has special effects that we want to make memorable.  We are also developing a special donations list that is themed with the show. If accepted to perform at the festival, that trip will happen in June; festival expenses are a separate set of costs.

Bradford Theater Arts will be selling program ads this year, both for individuals who wish to recognize someone special and for businesses. There is also an option to become a Bradford Theater Producing Partner.  KBHSAA is pleased to make the ad flyer available here on our website.  We hope our KBHSAA members and our community will step up to support Bradford Theater Arts.  Please visit our BHS & Community Events page for complete details as to dates/times and a link to purchase tickets through the KUSD Fine Arts web page for the following shows:

  • The Book of Will, a very fun take on what happened to Shakespeare’s works after his death.
  • 12 Angry Women, an adaptation of the classic jury drama.
  • The Hello Girls, about service women in WWII. We want to connect with our veterans and all service sectors with The Hello Girls. While we have just started planning for this show, we know there are members of the community with whom this piece will resonate, and we want to connect our students to the history both here and how the importance of service touches all of us.

Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. will represent Bradford in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Theatre Festival, which takes place in October and November. This competition has three rounds and the possibility of being selected to represent Bradford as a one act at the national festival in June.  (Please note:  There are no public performances of this show.)

08/15/2025:  Today we launched the Wilhelm Winzer Grant Program web page, which makes (10) $250 grants available to KUSD Elementary School teachers.  The deadline for applications is September 30, 2025.

07/10/2025:  We are pleased to report the Silent Auction, held in conjunction with the Distinguished Alumni Awards Banquet on June 28, raised a total of $3,742 for the KBHSAA Scholarship Fund.  We send our thanks to the many businesses and individuals who so generously supported our fundraiser.  The complete list of donors for this year's event is posted here.

We're excited to announce the following news item:

In July 2023, for Kris Winzer Miller’s 50th class reunion, she and husband Larry Miller offered a $1973 "Building & Construction Trades Scholarship" in honor of Kris’ late father, Wilhelm Winzer, a carpenter, craftsman and immigrant from Croatia/former Yugoslavia, arriving in Kenosha in 1959.

As no Bradford HS seniors met the criteria for the scholarship in 2024 or 2025, Kris and Larry have increased the funding to $2500 and, through KBHSAA, will offer TEN $250 grants available to KUSD elementary school teachers for the 2025-26 school year.  The application form for this program will be made available through KUSD and the KBHSAA website in the coming weeks.

Please watch the KBHSAA website for more information, or reach out via the Contact Us page if you wish to receive an update via email when the program launches.

07/09/2025:  Each year, we purchase a full-page ad in support of Bradford's Spy yearbook.  Here is a photo of the ad for the 2024-2025 edition.  Also, as an FYI, we have moved FY 2024-2025 Home Page posts to our Archive.
