
Donald Holman, 86, of Kenosha passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 10, 2026.
Donald was born on April 18, 1940, in Kenosha, the son of the late Harold and Frieda (Fritzler) Holman. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School in 1958.
Don married Joyce Kober on September 27, 1958, in Kenosha. He worked for the Kenosha Fire Department as a firefighter for 31 years, also serving as a lieutenant, and after he retired from KFD, he worked for Aiello Mid-town Florist.
Don was a member of New Life Lutheran Church. His hobbies included golfing, hunting, bowling, reading, going to the Moose, enjoying monthly breakfasts and Thirsty Thursdays with his fellow retired firefighters, watching the Packers and yelling at them through the television; and watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies over and over again.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki (Bill) Holman-Bryant, Karie Sax and Don (Kathy) Homan, Jr., all of Kenosha; his brother, Harold (Adrianna) Holman, Jr., of Brighton; his 2 grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia) and Travis; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Annabelle Grace. Donald was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Joyce; and his siblings, Henry and Joann.
A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services (8226 Sheridan Rd.) on Tuesday May 19, 2026, from 5:00PM until 6:45PM, with the Kenosha Firefighter Honor Guard to follow immediately. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at New Life Lutheran Church (1520 Green Bay Rd., Kenosha) starting at 11:00AM.
