A & R Door Service, Inc. has donated a certificate valid for preventative maintenance on your garage door and garage door operator (value:  $175.00; no expiration date; some restrictions apply).  A & R is locally owned and operated since 1983, and as their business card says, “We sell the best, service the rest.”  Their techs will get your garage door running smoothly!  They service all overhead sectional and rolling steel doors, dock equipment and electric operators, etc., for residential, commercial and industrial customers.  If needed, they can provide 24-hour service, 7 days a week.

Alpaca Art LLC has donated two ceramic bisqueware pieces:  a 10-inch Coupe Dinner Plate and a Cereal Bowl.  The pieces are ready to be painted at their shop; you will use shop-owned brushes and may choose from the wide array of colored glazes in stock to create your design.  Shop hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00PM until 6:00PM for “walk-in” painting, or there is an option for taking home the supplies you will need, should you prefer to work at home.  When you have finished your design, you leave the pieces with Alpaca Art for firing, and they will call when the pieces are ready for pick up, usually in about one week (value:  $50, which includes glazes and firing).  Get in touch with your inner artist!

Beaver Springs, Wisconsin Dells has donated a gift certificate [value $85; exp. date: 12/31/2024] which includes the following:
♦  (1) free long or short guided horseback trail ride;
♦  $25 Fishing Park gift certificate good for bait, tackle rental, registration, fish purchases and all fish-related services; and
♦  Family admission (2 adults & 4 children) to the Dells Wildlife Museum & Aquarium.

We were reading on their website and noticed they mention that no fishing license is required!

Brat Stop, Inc. has donated a $20 gift certificate [no epiration date].  The Brat Stop is well known for its family friendly atmosphere, great service and world famous food... open 365 days a year for breakfast, lunch and dinner; hours posted on their website are 8:00AM to close.  Check out the large variety of entertainment events coming to the Brat Stop.  Next time you're out and about, be sure to visit their Cheese & Gift Shop – a good friend tells us they sell the very best German potato salad available in Kenosha.  Brat Stop's Banquet and Conference Center, The Parkway Chateau, can also accommodate weddings, parties and other special events.  Their attentive staff is available to answer all of your questions and make your event as perfect as possible!

Cave of the Mounds® National Natural Landmark has donated a Pass good for (1) regular admission (adult) and (1) child (age 4-12 years), plus (1) free mining bag [exp. date:  12/31/2025; note: free admission for children age 3 and under].  Cave of the Mounds was discovered in 1939, when a quarry blast revealed the entrance to this sparkling underground wonder.  Walking tours follow paved and lighted walkways, and the constant 50º temperature makes the cave feel cool in summer, warm in winter.  Located just 20 minutes west of Madison, the surrounding gardens explode in a dazzling array of blooms from early spring to late fall, providing great photo opportunities with your family.

Make a day of it and visit one of many nearby attractions:  Mount Horeb, House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, Spring Green, American Players Theatre, Mineral Point, Pendarvis State Historic Site or Wollersheim Winery.

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Pleasant Prairie has donated a $10 gift certificate [gratuity not included; no expiration date].  At Cheddar’s, we use quality ingredients and take the time to prepare them in our kitchens each day.  To us, making things from scratch means battering our chicken tenders before we fry them.  It means smoking our own ribs.  It means making our own soup each morning. And it means our food just tastes better.

ComedySportz Milwaukee has donated (3) admissions to any ComedySportz Match (total value $36; exp. date:  10/31/2024.  Not valid on Special Shows or The Midnite Show; not valid with any other offers).  A ComedySportz Match is an awesomely exciting comedy show played as a sport, performed in our Main Arena.  If you come to see ComedySportz, you'll see one Referee and two teams of Players – one red and one blue – competing against each other in improv games based on the suggestions of the fans watching the match! There are seven to ten games per match, with the occasional willing volunteer joining us up on the field to help the hilarity ensue!  Bar and Restaurant open at 6:00PM, Arena seating begins at 7:00PM.

Dairy Queen 22nd Avenue, Kenosha has donated a $25 gift card (no expiration  date).  You could take the kids out for their favorite treats... ours kids are loving the Mint Brownie Blizzard®, the flavor for March.  When we were kids, we loved the classic chocolate-dipped cone with the signature swirl at the top.  Of course, you couldn't go wrong by ordering a delectable DQ® Blizzard® cake for a special celebration with  extended family!  Our northside DQ® is open from 10:00AM to 10:00PM daily.

Danny's Cafe has donated a pair of $10 gift certificates [exp. date:  02/27/2025].  This all-around-favorite cafe serves up the best breakfast in Kenosha starting at 5AM weekdays, 5:30 on Saturday and 6AM on Sunday.  A good friend confided that the Potato Pancake served with a side of bacon is her favorite breakfast.  Several of our friends rave about the Biscuits & Gravy, listed on the menu as a "customer favorite" – it is comfort food at its best!  If we are out and about running errands, we love stopping in for a late breakfast on our own (in lieu of lunch), most often choosing an omelet with American fries or eggs with crispy bacon and pancakes.  And if the jumbo cinnamon rolls have not yet sold out, we'll bring home a couple of them "for the kids.”

Do you ever wonder why breakfast tastes so much better when someone else deals with the cooking and clean up afterwards?

Joe Passarelli '89 and DeRango's “The Pizza King” Restaurant & Sports Bar have donated a $20 gift certificate (valid for dine in only; no expiration date).  Located in a quiet northside neighborhood in the heart of Kenosha, they offer amazing food, from pizza to spaghetti to wings and so much more.  They also have full bar service and an outdoor patio (weather permitting).

Thomas Outdoor Supply has donated a $15 gift certificate (exp. date:  09/15/2024).  When we began researching a new lawn mower last year, a good friend recommended this local business.  We ended up purchasing a Stihl “walk behind” battery-powered, self-propelled mower from them, and we have been very pleased with its ease of operation and how quietly it runs (plus, we don’t miss the exhaust fumes from our old gas-powered mower).  When it comes time to replace our old snow blower, we’ll be back to explore our options at Thomas Outdoor Supply… your best source for outdoor power equipment.
