Audrey Keckler (Nehr Cassiani) - Class Of 1945

F. Audrey Cassiani, 86, of Kenosha passed away on June 3, 2015, at Hospitality Nursing and Rehab. Audrey was born on July 22, 1928, in Kenosha to Lawrence and Dorothea (Lloyd) Keckler.  She graduated from Kenosha High School in 1944 and was the Valedictorian of her class.

Audrey married P. Donald Nehr in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1976.  She married Peter Cassiani in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Audrey was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

She was very active in the church including in the senior choir, the bell choir, worship and music, ladies night out, assisting minister, lector and communion assistant. She enjoyed knitting and donated her time and her work to the prayer shawl ministry at St. Paul's. Audrey was an avid swimmer and was a member of the KYF swim team and active in swim exercise three times a week since 2008. She was active in the Kenosha Senior Center with the Seniorettes, Variety Fare and the Showtimers. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by, her parents; two children, Jeff Nehr and Becky Kenney; her grandson, Daniel Conner; her brother, Lorry Keckler; and her sister, Norma Barber. Audrey is survived by, two children, Bill (Jane) Nehr of Fox Point and Valerie (Bob) Conner of Franksville; 10 grandchildren; a step grandson; four great grandchildren; her sister, Kay (Dick) Daum of Hemet, CA; a nephew, Kip Keckler of Kenosha; as well as other family and friends.

Funeral services for Audrey will be held at 6:15PM on Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 4:30PM until the time of service. Private family burial will take place at Green Ridge Cemetery.
