Betty Lockwood (Weinhagen Stewart) - Class Of 1933

Betty Weinhagen Stewart (nee Lockwood), passed away peacefully August 13, 2009, at the age of 93 and is preceded in death by her first husband, George Woodbury Weinhagen, who passed away in 1979; parents, Violet and Charles Henry Lockood; brother, Charles Henry Lockwood, Jr.; and daughter, Judy Weinhagen.  Devoted wife of Gordon W. Stewart and beloved mother of George Weinhagen (Ann), Fredrick Weinhagen (Dianne), Jane Weinhagen Ullom (Tom) and Charles Weinhagen (Nancy), stepmother of Bill Stewart (Hannah) and Wendy Wolf (Rick); loving grandmother of 13, great-grandmother of 22, aunt to 4 nieces and 3 nephews, and additional family and friends.

Betty enjoyed her involvement with the Girl Scouts of America, receiving the Golden Eaglet award and the PEO Sisterhood.  She was also active in various churches.

The family will have a private gathering with details yet to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Girl Scouts of America.

Final resting place:   Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
