James Williams - Class Of 1962

James M. Williams, 72, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus.

Born in Kenosha on July 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Earl C. Williams and Leona A. (Tiemann) Garnett. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools and also served his country in the United States Navy.

On February 25, 1970, he married Barbara Fonk in Waukegan, Ill. James was a machinist for over 30 years retiring from Ladish/Tri-Clover. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists. He enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles, scratch lottery tickets, going to the casino with his "Lovey" (Barb) and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Barb Williams of Kenosha; three children, Susan (David) Mitchell of Eagle River, WI, Robert J. (Lisa) Williams of Kenosha and Amy L. Williams of Kenosha; a brother, Gordon Williams; a sister, Mary (Fred) Garnett-Hayes; nine grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley), Tyler, Deanna, Ashley (Jason), Brittany, Justin, Hannah, Hunter and Harlaina; and three great-grandchildren, Caden, Nolen and Aliyah.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Willard and Esther (Willkomm) Fonk; and his step father, Earl (Flynn) Garnett.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, at Proko Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors.
