Bertha Winkler (nee Katona) was born to Eternal Life on January 14, 2012, at the age of 95. She started life in Elyria Ohio on February 11, 1916, a child of Joseph Katona and Susanna Kolarik.
Bertha was a 1934 graduate of Mary D. Bradford, Kenosha High School. She retired after 20 years from American Motors in 1979. She also was a member of local union #75 U.A.W.
Preceded in death by husbands Elbert Winkler and Peter Petersen and siblings Ethel, Elizabeth and Joseph.
Bertha is survived by her sister Ann Reynders; her sons Eric, Kenneth (Gloria) and Joel (Rita) Petersen; grandchildren Eric, Jr., Scott (Rosmira), Kenneth, Jr. (Malini), Jeffrey (Vicki) and Julie (Mike); great-grandchildren Henny, Rebekah, Benjamin, Jay and Leena. Bertha is also loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many special friends.
Funeral Services were held on January 28, 2012 at New Life Community Church in Milwaukee, WI. Intermment was private in Highland Memorial Park.
