IN MEMORY

Mary Conron - Class Of 1941

Mary Patricia Conron (nee Keating), 92, returned to her heavenly home on October 25, 2015, after a valiant battle with a long illness.  Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Mary was born to the late Joseph and Irene Keating in Ashland, WI on May 19, 1923.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with honors and worked as the international translator to the president of Snap-On Tools. It was there she met John Latus Conron, and they were married October of 1949.  Mary and John were blessed with a large and loving family.  Mary helped raise their five children with patience, discipline and humility.  Mary volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital every Tuesday for over 30 years and spent every Thursday for 40 plus years bowling with the Benedictine Mother's.

Mary is survived by her three sons, John Michael (Kathy), Brian Joseph (Maria) and Patrick Terrance (Catherine); and daughter, Kathleen Whelan (Bill); grandchildren, Erin Lum, Zachary Conron, Colleen Conron, Claire Harbert, Caitlyn Johnson, Emily Conron, Brendan Conron, Kelly Conron, Rob Whelan and Tom Whelan; and two great-grandchildren, Parker Lum and Evelyn Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Latus Conron; son, Kevin Conron; and grandson, Sean.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 30, at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM Saturday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, in Bon Air, with interment in Norwich, New York at a later date.
