Gerald Monteen - Class Of 1930

Gerald "Buss" Monteen, 91 (pictured at right from the 1930 Spy), of Largo, FL died May 31, 2003 at home. He was born in Kenosha, WI and came here in 1979 from Racine, Wis. He retired as a management analyst after 32 years with the federal government. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He graduated from Creighton University, Omaha, NE and attended graduate school at the Naval Academy at Annapolis. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, Jim, Lenexa, Kan., and Mike, New Berlin, Wis.; three stepsons, Shaun McConnell, Kenosha, Timothy McConnell, Atlanta, and Mitchell McConnell, Lawndale, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Kate McConnell, Mission, Texas, Maggie McConnell, Atlanta, and Sara Jane Adams, Upper Arlington, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
