Gerald "Buss" Monteen, 91, of Largo, FL died May 31, 2003 at home. He was born in Kenosha, WI and came here in 1979 from Racine, Wis. He retired as a management analyst after 32 years with the federal government. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He graduated from Creighton University, Omaha, NE and attended graduate school at the Naval Academy at Annapolis. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, Jim, Lenexa, Kan., and Mike, New Berlin, Wis.; three stepsons, Shaun McConnell, Kenosha, Timothy McConnell, Atlanta, and Mitchell McConnell, Lawndale, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Kate McConnell, Mission, Texas, Maggie McConnell, Atlanta, and Sara Jane Adams, Upper Arlington, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
