Shirley J. M. Schulkowsky (Krause) - Class Of 1952

Shirley J. M. Krause, 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Vitas Ruth Hospice House.  She was born on October 19, 1934 to the late Arthur and Viola (Ullman) Schulkowsky in Chicago, IL.  She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

On October 9, 1956 she married Albert K. Krause in MS.

Shirley was a homemaker prior to working as a CNA.

Shirley was a member of the Kenosha Shrine Auxiliary for many years, presiding as President many times.  She was a lifetime member of the Bradford Alumni Association.

Shirley enjoyed traveling, loved reading and crossword puzzles.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Pollard Gallery, the Lakeside Players and, most recently, with the Book Mobile.  She had fun bowling in leagues for many years.

Shirley is survived by:  her children, Linnea Kloet, Yvonne (Tim) Bucher and Brian (Lisa) Krause; her sister, Sharon Philyaw; her three grandchildren, Nicole Kloet, Typhanie (Travis) Shupe and Kassandrea Krause; her great grandchildren, Grayson Jones and Ainslee Shupe; nephews, Jim Gitzlaff and Perry Philyaw; and nieces, Kim Olsen and Sheree Fuqua.

She is preceded in death by:  her parents, her husband and a brother; a son-in-law, James Kloet; three nephews; and two sisters-in-law.

Interment will be private.
