Lucille Petersen, 94, of Kenosha died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at United Hospital System of Kenosha. Born on May 29, 1915 in Deerfield, IL., she was the daughter of the late Julius and Sophia Petersen.  She came to Kenosha in 1926 and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.

Lucille was employed at Kenosha County Highway Department and the Social Services Department, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (W.E.L.L.S.) and Safe Harbor Life Member.  She was an avid supporter of Shoreland Lutheran High School.  She enjoyed listening to music, WGN and collecting National Geographics.  She loved watching and listening to her favorite sports teams:  Cubs, Brewers, and Packers.

Lucille is survived (and will be missed) by her loving friends, Jane, Steve and Stephanie Herbert; Mary Pietrangeli; Jan Jessen; Dolores Stupey; and Lisa Halverson.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 5:00PM to 6:00PM with funeral services to follow at 6:00 p.m.  Private burial at North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL.
