Betty Wade (Buckta) - Class Of 1948

Betty Louise Buckta, 83, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Batesville, AR.  Born September 3, 1929, in Kenosha, WI, she was the daughter of Edmond Rollie Wade and Laura Blackmon Wade.  She was a registered nurse, enjoyed nursing education, having taught certified nursing assistant classes, and worked in a thrift store.  She was of the United Methodist faith and enjoyed studying God's word and participating in Bible studies.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and AARP and was secretary/treasurer of Arkansas Advocates for Nursing Home Residents.

Survivors include:   two sons, Andrew Buckta of Elkhart, IN, and Brian Buckta of LaFarge, WI; two daughters, Laura Ray of Fayetteville and Michele Beyer Meadows of Cleburne, TX; a brother, Gilbert Wade of Kenosha; a sister, Donna Webb of Mercer, WI; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Virgil Paul Buckta.

The funeral will be at 2:00PM on Friday, June 28, at Salado Baptist Church with Gary Xiques and Barrett Beyer officiating.  Local arrangements are by Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.   A second funeral service will be at 1:00PM on Monday, July 1, at Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home Chapel in Kenosha.  Burial will follow in Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Hogan, Adam Beyer, Bill Ray, Nathaniel Long and Brian Beyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be directed to Arkansas Advocates for Nursing Home Residents, 2336 Riverview Circle, Benton, AR 72019.
