Helen Kemble (Pool) - Class Of 1942

Helen V. (Kemble) Pool, 85, formerly of Kenosha, late of New Hope, MN passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010.  She was born on February 28, 1924 to the late Robert T. and Addie M. (Hollenbeck) Kemble.  She moved to Kenosha as a child and attended Kenosha schools.  Helen graduated from Kenosha High School in 1942.

For several years, Helen worked at the Naval Training Center at Great Lakes, IL and later at Tri-Clover a Division of Ladish Company as a switchboard operator.

On June 5, 1965 she married Jacob J. Pool and moved to Wayzata, MN. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1991.

Helen was employed by Gold Bond Stamp Cmpany for 5  years as a catalogue coordinator and later at Barrett United Van Lines in Sales for 12 years until retiring.

Helen was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Plymouth, MN.

Helen was an avid oil and watercolor artist and spent many hours in Door County painting the beautiful scenery on canvas and paper. Her family and friends are privileged to have so many of her pieces of her artwork to enjoy. Helen also made outstanding braided wool rugs that have turned into collector items for so many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, as she has touched so many lives.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Kevin (Barat) Sherwin of Wildwood, MO; her son, Dana J. (Judith) Barat of Golden Valley, MN; her grandson, Dana J. (Elizabeth) Barat, Jr. of Golden Valley, MN; her two step-granddaughters, Halle Sherwin of Los Angeles, CA and Carolyn (Fritz) Zaegel of Ladue, MO; and her great grandchildren, Logan Barat of Clarkfield, MN and Addison Joel Barat of Golden Valley, MN.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Joel E. Barat, in 1980 and her brother Robert Kemble in 1996.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Bruch Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at South Bristol Cemetery.  Friends may call at service time on Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials would be appreciated to the St. Francis Society (12300 116th St., Kenosha, WI).
