Bess Burzynski (Emery) - Class Of 1939

Bess Emery, age 90, a resident of Kenosha died on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Hospitality Manor Nursing and Rehab.  Born on May 10, 1920, she was the daughter of Stephen and Veronica (Kowtowski) Burzynski.  She was educated in the schools of Kenosha, having attended St. Casmir’s Catholic Elementary and Kenosha High School.

On September 27, 1942 she married Liggett Emery in Kenosha. He would precede her in death in 1992.

She was employed for many years at the Frost Company, retiring in the 1980’s.  She was also a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church for 60 years.

She was extremely close to her family, was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by:  one son, Ronald L. Emery and his wife/loving daughter-in-law, Francine; her grandchildren:  Denise (Ken) Modrak, William Emery, Joseph Emery, Lee (Kim) Emery and Michelle Emery; great grandchildren, Louis, Hannah, Eddie, Heather, Storm Alex, Augie and Raquel; and two sisters, Joanne “Ginger” Curi and Stella Salerno.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; her husband; an infant son, Dennis; and two brothers, Edward and Joseph.

Private family services will be held.
