Marjorie Bouttot (Friedl Johnston) - Class Of 1936

Marjorie P. "Marge" Johnston, 91, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Hospitality Manor with her family by her side.
She was born to George and Lucy (Kamer) Boutott on February 2, 1919, in Green Bay, WI.  At the age of six her family moved to Kenosha where she has lived ever since.

She attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School in 1936.  On October 29, 1938, she married George J. Friedl. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1968.

On June 26, 1976, she married Richard "Dick" Johnston, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2006.

Marge worked for Brittles Restaurant and Jockey for several years. She then went on to establish a career at the Brown National Bank for 22 years, retiring in 1981 as a loan officer. While working at the bank, she belonged to the Kenosha Credit Women's Bureau, where she sponsored several events.

Marge was truly a lover of life.  She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, card playing, traveling, cooking, baking, and reading.  She utilized these talents over the years by working on several class reunions.  She was happiest surrounded by family and friends and her grand puppy, Bee Gee, a 6-year-old Maltese.  She touched numerous people’s lives with her kind and giving nature and will be missed by many.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan L. (Daniel) Cisler of Pleasant Prairie; and two daughters through marriage, Carol (Victor) Hansen of Grey Concord, CA, and Cathy (Joe) Petrusek of Summerville, OR.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many wonderful and caring friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00AM, with interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kenosha Achievement Center would be appreciated by the family.
