Doris E. Swartz, 94, passed away at her home on Monday, June 4, 2012.

Doris was born on June 17, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN, to the late John A. and Theresia E. Ostrom.  She moved with her parents to Kenosha, where she graduated Kenosha High School.  On December 27, 1945 in Kenosha, Doris was united in marriage to Arthur J. Swartz, after his return from World War II.

Doris and Art moved to Rochester in 1968.  She became a realtor and worked in that profession into her early 80s.  Doris joined Cross Lutheran Church when she moved to the area and had remained an active member.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Arthur Swartz; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mary Jo Swartz; grandchildren, Elizabeth Etchells, John Swartz and Mickey Swartz; and her great-grandchildren, Milo and Felix Etchells.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 11:00AM at Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Carolyn Sellers officiating.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the church on Thursday, from 9:30AM until the time of service.  Burial will take place on Thursday at 1:30PM at Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha.
