Mr. Ronald Mlodzik (Journalism; Yearbook Advisor)

Ronald G. Mlodzik, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his home.

Born on March 12, 1938, in Melrose, Minn., he was the son of the late Walter Casmir and Mary Ann (Zabrocki) Mlodzik. He was a graduate of St. John's University in Minn.

Ronald served in the United States ROTC from 1960 until 1972.

On June 25, 1960, he married Donna Hieserich at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose, Minn. Prior to moving to Kenosha in 1970, he lived with his wife and their four children in Maple Lake and Prior Lake, Minn. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2013.

"Chief Mlodzik" was a teacher at Bradford High School for 25 years, serving as Spy yearbook advisor and overseeing publication of The Inferno, retiring in 1993.  He previously taught in Minnesota for nine years.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, WEA, NEA, National Semantics, AARP, and Knights of Columbus.

Ronald is survived by a son, Thomas (Hilary) Mlodzik of Rockford, IL; three daughters, Lisa Mlodzik of Kenosha, Maria (Paul) Jeanmaire of Kenosha, and Angela (David) Marshalek of De Pere, Wis.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Nate, Jonah, Hannah and Sam; one brother, James (Shirley) Mlodzik; and one sister-in-law, Audrey Mlodzik.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and William Mlodzik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 26, at St. Peter's Catholic Church located at 2224 30th Ave Kenosha, WI 53144 at 10:00AM.  Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00PM until 7:00PM.
