IN MEMORY

Robert Stacy - Class Of 1957

Robert E. Stacy Sr., 74, of Pleasant Prairie, succumbed to his valiant 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer, Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center.

He was born in Kenosha, the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn Stacy. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie, WI. Robert graduated from Mary D. Bradford in 1957 and continued his education at Racine Technical College.

On August 6, 1960 he united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Marie Ohmstead at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Robert was employed for almost 50 years as Vice President of manufacturing at Motor Specialty of Racine.

After retiring, he and his daughter Christina rehabbed her first home.

As a child he attended and sang in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Choir. He loved music, gardening, hunting, fishing, biking and “ruling-the-roost”. He enjoyed checking out St. Vinnie’s and playing cribbage in the gazebo. But most of all he loved outings with his beloved granddaughter, Parker.

He was a past member of the Kenosha Bowman, the Elk’s Club, Racine Manufacturing Association and the Republican Party. He faithfully donated to the VFW and the Disabled Vets.

Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years, Marie, his son Robert Stacy Jr. of Watertown, his daughter, Christina and his son-in-law Jason Van Dusen of Kenosha, his beloved granddaughter, Parker Van Dusen. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, Evelyn Ruud and Charlotte Hall, and his brother-in-law Deane Ohmstead on April 5, 2013.

Funeral Services for Robert were held on January 31, 2014 at the Bruch Funeral Home, followed by interment in Green Ridge Cemetery.
