Donna enjoyed a long life full of love with her family and friends. She enjoyed volunteering at the public library in Henderson, NV. She loved books, and read all the time on her Kindle. Donna loved everything Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and she was well-known for giving out her favorite candy, M&Ms. She loved her dogs Bailey, Little Bit and Ginger.
Holidays were a special time for Donna, she loved celebrating and decorating for them, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. She sent cards for every holiday to loved ones, written in her beautiful penmanship. She enjoyed flowers and plants, and even had special ones she would grow for certain holidays. She had a large collection of hippos and even rocks when she lived out West.
As she is known to many, Nanny D was an avid crafter and knitter. She has gifted many knitted blankets to her loved ones. She also crafted ornaments, calendars, bead angels, and beautiful wreaths, among other hobbies. She loved to color, created hand-made cards, and liked to color by number on her tablet. She always had a project or craft in progress, and she loved working on them with her beloved family members.
Most of all, she loved her family above all, and we will cherish our memories with her forever. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the compassionate care provided by the Hildegard House. The volunteers and nurses who cared for her greatly impacted our family, and we are eternally grateful.
Cremation was entrusted to Heady-Hardy Funeral Home. Donna will be laid to rest at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ, at a later date.
