IN MEMORY

Rita Boyle (Ronzia) - Class Of 1954

Rita Mary Ronzia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the age of 88.

Born on July 24, 1936 in Kenosha, WI, Rita was the youngest of four children to Thomas and Margaret Boyle.  She attended Kenosha schools, graduated from Mary D.  Bradford High School in 1954 and shortly after began working in the offices at FAMCO Products until she met her future husband, Edward Ronzia.  They were married on October 4, 1958 and quickly began raising a family.

Those who knew Rita will remember smiles, laughter and a love of life that showed itself in many ways.  For Rita, there was nothing better than getting together around the table with family or friends to share food, stories, laughs and the bond which this closeness created.  A “Queen” of all trades, she had a passion for many things and spent countless hours cooking, decorating and sewing.  She also loved to travel seeing new places and learning about other people and cultures.  Proud of her Irish heritage, she often traveled back “home” spending time with her many aunts, uncles and cousins.  These things, along with her ability to see humor in others as well as herself, endeared her to so many.  She will be sadly missed by all, especially her husband who sat so diligently at her side over these past few years.  A special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch Assisted Living, her care team from Tidewell Hospice and Jennifer Kennedy of Coastal Wellness.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; her children: Suzanne Kovach and John (Irene) Ronzia; her daughter-in-law, Ellen; her grandchildren, Julianne and Mitchell (Emily); her sister, Teresa Nichols; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was especially comforted to meet her great granddaughter, June, shortly before passing.

Preceding her in death were her son, Tim, and her siblings, David Boyle and Noreen Gerlach.

A celebration of her life will be held in her hometown of Kenosha at a future date, soon to be determined.

Rita was a very caring person and supported many causes for those less fortunate than herself. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
