Ken Hansen - Class Of 1962

Kenneth L. Hansen, age 66, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Henry County Hospital with his family by his side. He was born May 31, 1944 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late Alfred and Evelyn (Ahlefeldt) Hansen.

He moved to Indiana when Chrysler bought American Motors and retired from Chrysler Corporation following 30 years of service.  Kenneth loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of HOG (Harley Owners Group).  He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed golfing and hunting. Kenneth was very musically inclined and loved playing his guitar.  He grew up in a very tightly knit family, was a very good father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and applied it in his everyday life.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Maggie (Sieffert) Hansen of New Castle; children, Kris (husband, Jeff) Landgraf of Dana Point, CA, Greg Hansen of Ft. Wayne, Liz (husband, Sean) Kincaid of Dripping Spring, TX and Russell Hansen of Kenosha, Wisconsin; stepdaughter, Ambre (husband, Jimmy) Sisson of Pendleton, IN; stepson, Cory Armstrong of New Castle; grandchildren, Jack, Finn and Jude Landgraf, McKinzie and Nathaniel Hansen, Blake, Collin, and Dylan Kincaid; step grandchildren, Tyler, Elayna and Cayden Sisson, Alec and Andrew Armstrong; brother, Dick (wife, Rita) Hansen; mother in law, Doris Jean Sieffert of New Castle; and a sister in law, Michele (husband, Michael) Kirby of New Castle nieces and nephews, Richard Hansen, Deanna Willstead and Jeffrey Hansen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Nehls.

Services were held on December 6, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Michael Kirby officiating and military rites provided by the American Legion and VFW.
