James Kruse - Class Of 1963

James “Jim” G. Kruse, 76, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Hospice Alliance Hospice House.

He was born on January 28, 1945 to the late James W. and Arline M. (Sanders) Kruse in Kenosha.  He was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1963.

Jim worked as a as a typesetter/proofreader for the Kenosha News and then as a crane operator at American Brass.  He was a member of the Kenosha Masonic Lodge and Unity Lodge #37 F. & A.M.  Jim was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed bowling and motorcycles.  He was involved in the Somers Saddle Club and held several offices and announced shows.  Jim was known for sending cards to everyone he knew and never missed a birthday or holiday.

Jim is survived by his son, James M. Kruse; his sisters, Nancy A. Swanson of Apache Junction, AZ and Debra L. Libby of Sheboygan; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a special friend, Jeanette Monaghan; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi M. Kruse, in infancy and a sister, Marlene J. Grasser.

Masonic Services for Jim will be held on Friday, August 27 at 2:00PM at the Bruch-Hansen Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00PM (Noon) until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.  The family would like to specially thank Hospice Alliance and his niece, Kim Grasser, for the loving and compassionate care given to Jim.
