James Becker - Class Of 1956

James A. Becker, age 73, a resident of Pleasant Prairie died November 3, 2010 at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.  Born on February 19, 1937 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Lydia (Wholegumuth) Becker.

He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and was a graduate of Bradford High School. He served in the US Army. On April 15, 1964, he married Mary Lynne Cleary in Woodstock IL. He was owner/operator of Bert and Rudy’s Mobil Service Station for 42 years and enjoyed it very much. He was an AMC classic car enthusiast for many years. He enjoyed car shows and attended the Iola WI car Show often. He was an avid Brett Farve Fan.

He liked traveling with his wife in their motor home. He loved his family very much and liked to spend time with them. He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Prairie, two sons, Allan Becker of Kenosha; Steven (Marsha) Becker of Estes Park CO; three daughters; Dawn (Alan) Bella, Deanna (Dan) Lourigan of Kenosha; Kristine (Robert) Haveman of Wauwatosa and five grandchildren Ethan Lourigan, Cody Becker, Cassidy Becker, Karina Haveman and Peter Haveman. He is further survived by close family friend and business associate Greg Lemke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Arnold and Richard and sister Lois Klees.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on November 8, 2010 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Kenosha.
