Alan Becker - Class Of 1948

Alan B. Becker, 89, formerly of South Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully at his home in Keller, TX on Saturday, January 26, 2019.  He was born in Kenosha, WI on January 18, 1930 to Bernard and Lydia (nee: Krohn) Becker.  

Alan was a 1948 graduate of Kenosha High School, where he played trumpet in the band.  As a hospital corpsman in the Navy, he served with a Marine Corps. unit in Korea, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Alan and Marie (nee: Mantey) were united in marriage at the First Congregational Church in South Milwaukee in 1953. Alan taught Anatomy and Physiology at Marquette University and later retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in 1987.  He was an active Lion's Club member and member of the Freemasons.

Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marie; daughter, Heidi (Scott) Frankow; his grandchildren, Max and Madeline Frankow; niece Susan (David) Wright; as well as extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Lydia Becker and his sister, Lorraine (Ray) Switzer.

Services will take place in Wisconsin on a yet to be determined date.  Those who desire may make memorial donations to:
