John Thomas - Class Of 1944

John D. "Jack" Thomas, 91, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018.  Jack was born on November 13, 1926 in Kenosha to Daniel and Frances (Fliess) Thomas.  He was educated at St. George and McKinley Schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.  On October 27, 1951, he was united in marriage to Charlene M. Schulte at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They shared over 59 joyful years together. They spent many winters at their house in Florida and many summer days at their cabin in Phillips, WI, while maintaining their home in Kenosha which they built in 1955.  Sadly, Charlene passed away in April 2011.  Jack was employed for over 41 years at American Motors/Chrysler Corporation in the finance department until his retirement in 1986. 

Jack is survived by his five children:  Kathleen Nesseth of Elm Grove, WI, James (James Belanger) of Chicago, IL, Don (Mary Beth) of Oshkosh, WI, Paul (Donna) of Merrill, WI, and Mark (Debbie) of Butternut, WI; five grandsons; four great grandchildren; three sisters:  Ellen of Rockford, IL, Joan (John) of Oconomowoc, WI, and Bea (Bob) of New Castle, CA; two sisters-in-law, Delores of Kenosha, and Mary of Greendale, WI.

He is also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Milan, Gene and Dick; his sister, Betty and a son-in-law, John Nesseth.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jack will take place on Thursday November 15, 2018, at 6:00PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church (7307 40th Avenue, Kenosha).
 A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4:00PM until the time of Mass.  Entombment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mary's Catholic Church would be appreciated.
