Wayne Shumway - Class Of 1943

Wayne M. Shumway, 87, of Kenosha died December 18, 2010 at his home. He was born on October 3, 1923 in Bristol, the son of the late Raymond & Helen (Stonebreaker) Shumway. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He married Lorraine Aidinovich on Aug. 25, 1945 at the First United Methodist Church in Kenosha.

Wayne was employed as Custodian for the First United Methodist church for 16 years, prior to that he worked at Simmons Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. His hobbies were listening to classical, opera & big band music, collecting stamps, bowling, avid Chicago Cub & Green Packer Fan. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 286 in Kenosha.

Survivors include his wife Lorraine of Kenosha, one son Brian Shumway of Kenosha, two brothers Lynn Shumway of Lebanon, PA and Dean (Bernie) Shumway of Sister Bay, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers:  Gene, Elwin, Delos and George; and a sister, Doris.

Funeral Services were held on December 29, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, Kenosha, followed by interment in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
