Norton Gahr, 90 of Madison, formerly of Michigan City, IN, passed away on July 13, 2012. Norton was born on August 8, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Benjamin and Clara (Ackerman) Gahr who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by Evelyn (Mickey) Gahr.

He is survived by his sister Dorothy (William) Schwartz of Madison; children: Sandee (Joe) Noe, Steven (Gala) Gahr, John Gahr, Merrie (Raymond) Spiekerman; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Norton was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during WWII.

Graveside services were held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, on July 17, 2012.
