Matt Miller - Class Of 1939

Matthew J. Miller, 94, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 20, 1917, the son of Alex and Julia (Gryczeska) Miller.

He was united in marriage to Anne K. Baternik on September 11, 1943, after he returned from military duty in Iceland.

He owned and operated Automatic Control Systems for over 30 years retiring in 1980.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling to Northern Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida and spending time with his family.

Matt is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anne, three children - Catherine (Bil) Buhler of Denver, CO, Matthew A. Miller of San Francisco, CA, and Patricia (Terry) Kalberg of St. George, UT and two grandchildren - Christopher Kalberg of Norton, MA and Carrie (Al) Kehl of Kenosha. He is also survived by one sister, Eva Gantzer of Kenosha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers - Eugene, Stanley, John, and Al.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Casa del Maré and Hospice Alliance for their kindness and caring.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, in the chapel at Casa del Maré, 3508-7th Avenue, Kenosha.
