Caroline Regner (Pocius) - Class Of 1934

Caroline E. Pocius, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on August 29, 2009, at Kenosha Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Kenosha on August 31, 1916, the daughter of the late John Mathias Regner and Caroline Fonk.  Caroline attended and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

On August 8, 1953, she married Walter Pocius in Kenosha.  He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, former member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and St. Thomas Alter Society.

Surviving Caroline are her children, William J. Pocius of Pleasant Prairie and Catherine A. (Keith) Haapala of Bristol, WI; two grandchildren, Brian Haapala of Lake Bluff, IL, and Kate Haapala of Bristol, WI; and two sisters, Janet (the late Edmund) Pobar of Racine and Cecelia Regner of Kenosha, WI.  She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; two sisters, Aletha Regner and Marion Regner; and a brother, Dr. Leon Regner.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on September 2, 2009 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, followed by interment in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
