Hazel Anderson (Badgerow) - Class Of 1926

Hazel Jane Badgerow, 95 (pictured at right from the 1926 Spy), formerly of Kenosha, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Pine Ridge Health Care.

She was born November 10, 1907, to the late Nels and Jane “Jennie” (nee: Hill) Anderson in Kenosha. On June 29, 1940, she married Fred Badgerow in Kenosha.  He preceded her in death in 1986.

She was educated in Kenosha.  She also attended school in Sarasota, FL. She worked at Specialty Brass and worked at Sunnyside Florist for many years.  She was a charter member of the Kenosha Humane Society and a member of the Sigurd Lodge #30 I.O.V.  She was an extensive world traveler.

She is survived by one son, John (Lynn) Badgerow of Onalaska, TX; one daughter, Jane (Raymond) Ottum of Kenosha; two grandchildren, Nathan Schmitt of Chicago, IL and Nicole Bartee of Houston, TX; and one great-granddaughter, Makenzie Bartee of Houston, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Viola Weinstock; and one grandson, David Badgerow.

Funeral services will be held at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home, (6019 7th Avenue, Kenosha) on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
