Nancy Stern Rosten passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022. She was born in Kenosha, WI on March 30, 1933, as quite a surprise! Her siblings – Harold Stern (14), Arlyne Stern (16) and Stanley Stern (18) – were thrilled with their new baby sister! She graduated from the University of Michigan, where she met the love of her life, Albert Rosten, a dental student. Upon graduation they began their life in Detroit, MI where they raised their son and two daughters. Nancy worked beside her husband as a dental hygienist until they retired to Lake Tahoe, NV and eventually finding their way to Las Vegas.
Nancy's energy knew no bounds, whether she was volunteering for Jewish charities, becoming a docent at various art museums, or hosting beautiful parties that highlighted her gourmet cooking talents. Nancy never met a person she did not like, and her infectious personality meant that she never met anyone who did not like her. Nancy always had a smile on her face and an attitude to match which could only be described as high and higher.
Nancy's immeasurable love for her children and grandchildren was evident every day of her life. She was the proudest Mom and Nana and could not help but share stories about each of them to anyone who would listen. Equally, Nancy was cherished by her children and her grandchildren. They universally agreed "how lucky we were to call her OURS!"
While Nancy never slowed down (despite Covid Restrictions), the loss of her beloved Albert was painful. We take comfort in knowing their love story continues now that they are together again.
Nancy is survived by her son, Jim Rosten, and daughter-in-law, Rachelle Rosten; daughters, Jill Graflund and Juli Rosten and son-in-law, Jack Coronel. She is survived by her grandchildren: Garett and Cooper Rosten, Alex and Ashely Graflund, Joseph and Cole Coronel; her nieces, Judy Horowitz (David Horowitz), Janie Imerman, as well as her great-niece, Lori Hayes, nephews Danny Hayes, Mark Horowitz (Candie Horowitz), Jeff Imerman (Ashleigh Imerman) and Jonny Imerman; and great-great nieces and nephew, Leah, Chana, Shana, Mimi and Levi.
