James L. McLuckie - Class Of 1952

James L. McLuckie, age 92, a resident of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away near loved ones and in the grace of God, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Jim was born February 8, 1933, in Zion, IL, to Andrew and Louise McLuckie. He married his wife, Patricia (Snowtala) McLuckie, on February 15, 1958 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kenosha, WI. Jim and Pat had two children, daughter Jill and son Michael. Pat preceded him in death August 11, 2016. Jim married Donna (Ludwig) McLuckie on April 23, 2019, in Ocean Springs, MS.

Jim completed grades 1-4 in Zion, IL, and grades 4-7 at Grant Elementary and Washington Jr. High in Kenosha, WI. He worked from a young age as a shoe-shine. Jim served in the Army from 1953-1955. He built a career at Kenosha Automotive Screw Machine Shop, Nash Motors, and Ladish Tri-Clover Machine Shop. Ladish provided education during Jim's career, and he enjoyed a local mushroom class. Jim was a joyful retiree of 30 years.

Jim was a proud husband, father, and veteran who enjoyed his homes, boats, camping, golfing, bowling, scuba diving and traveling. He and his neighbors founded a Pleasant Prairie Park. He put his wife Pat through beauty school, and they owned a beauty shop. He helped his son build a business in sewer routing and plumbing. Lately, Jim delighted in taking his great-granddaughter for rides on the jazzy.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Louise (Lewis) McLuckie; siblings, Donald, Robert and Carol Becker; wife, Patricia McLuckie; grandson, Andrew Parker; and daughter-in-law, Tina McLuckie.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna McLuckie; son, Michael J. McLuckie; daughter, Jill L. Parker and son-in-law, Russell L. Parker; grandchildren, David (Christine) Luckie, Daniel (LeeAnne) McLuckie, Laura (John) Peterson, Lara Parker, Russell Parker; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 12:30PM at All Saints Cemetery, 3300 Springbrook Road, Pleasant Prairie, WI, followed by Chapel Southside Service officiated at 1:00PM. All Glory to God.
