Meredith Larson Dorn, age 89, of Kenosha, passed away on May 12, 2012 at United Hospital System-St. Catherine's Campus.

Born in Wisconsin Rapids on April 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ila (Richards) Larson.

In 1941, she was united in marriage to Donald Dorn at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.  He preceded her in death on April 1, 1999.

Meredith was devoted to raising her family and, for a short time, was employed by Kenosha Hospital as a nurses' aid.  In her free time she enjoyed knitting, needle point and counted cross stitch.

She will be deeply missed by her three children, David (Kim) Dorn of Wheaton, IL, Ila Jean (Al) Prest of Lannon, WI and Karen (Gene) Furtman of Fairfax, VA; a brother, Louis Larson, Jr. of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Laura (Daniel) Heyde, Lisa (David) Hill, Michael (Melissa) Dorn and Megan (Russel) Hayles and six great- grandchildren, Nathan and Ryan Heyde, Ashley and Michael Hill and Marco and Mia Dorn.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Meredith will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be held in St. George Cemetery.
