Bothilda O'Neill (nee:  Nihlen, pictured at right from the 1929 Spy), a longtime resident of Lake County and principal with the former O'Neill Hardware Company of Lake Forest, died on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Lindenhurst, IL at the age of 101. The family invited friends to a memorial service in Thanksgiving for "B.'s" life on August 25, 2011 at the chapel of the Village at Victory Lakes, 1055 E. Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst, with a reception immediately following.

Bothilda is survived by nephews Henry Richard, Peter Ernst, and James David Obermanns, and their spouses and children. Memorial gifts may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society, or the charity of one's choice.
