Evelyn Ruth (Blanchard) Richards, 82, Ellijay, GA, passed away on February 15, 2025.

Evey was born in Kenosha, WI, on July 10, 1942. She was an advertising executive and had an avid love for flying (at one point she studied for her pilot's license).

She moved to Tampa, FL, in 1995, where she maintained her status in advertising for many years. Once retired, she volunteered at Wesley Chapel Elementary School and enjoyed her two dogs, Kasey and Clancy, and her three cats, Gabbie, Chloe and Scrumpet. Evey moved to the North Georgia mountain town of Ellijay in 2019 to be closer to family. There, she loved scenic walks and drives and embraced the wonder of the mountains.

Evey was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Evelyn Blanchard and her brother, Philip Blanchard, all of Kenosha, WI. Surviving family includes her brother, Paul Blanchard, currently of Livingston, MT; son, Matthew Richards of Kenosha; daughter, Kendra Holyoke and son-in-law, Kurt Holyoke of Ellijay, GA; granddaughter, Kailey Holyoke of Gainesville, FL, and her beloved cat, Meggie.

A private service was held on Friday, February 21, 2025.
