Elaine (Walton) Ranous, 74 (pictured at right from the 1960 Spy), of Crystal River, FL died on February 7, 2016 in Tampa. She was born in Kenosha, WI in 1941 to the late Walter and Johanne (Andreasen) Walton.

Elaine married John Ranous on September 14, 1964; he predeceased her April 10, 2002. After retiring to Florida, she served as Secretary for Crime Stoppers of Citrus County, on the Library Advisory Board for the Citrus County Library System, volunteered for the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, was a Computer Assistant for Coastal Region Branch Library, and treasurer of her homeowner's association. She also volunteered at Homosassa Spring Wildlife Park.

Elaine is survived by a loving son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Judy Ranous of Waukesha; two beloved grandchildren, Rebecca and Johannah Ranous of Waukesha; one caring sister, Nancy Julien of Waunakee; sister-in-law, Jean (Robert) Bertling, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering was held on March 10, 2016 at Cracker's Bar, Grill & Tiki, Crystal River.
