Florice Rogers (Stone) - Class Of 1943

Florice Rogers Stone, 83, formerly of Kenosha, WI, late of Garden Grove, CA (pictured at right from the '43 Spy) died November 17, 2009 in Huntington Beach, CA following a prolonged illness.  Born in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Florence (Rhodes) Rogers.  She was a graduate of UW-Madison.  She taught in Neenah and Kenosha and later was a school librarian in the Irvine Unified School District, Irvine, CA and a public librarian for the Orange County Public Library. On December 21, 1953, she married Kenneth Stone of Kenosha. He preceded her in death, October, 1994. Florice was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy (Rogers) Noble.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth H. (Connie), East Aurora, NY; William R. (Trina), Alta Loma, CA; Edward A. (Lisa), Westminster, CA, and nine grandchildren.

Memorial Services were held on November 21, 2009 at Hilgenfeld Mortuary Chapel, followed by interment in Crystal Cathedral Memorial Gardens, Garden Grove, CA.
