Walter Samsoe - Class Of 1929

Walter Samsoe, 94, of Largo, FL died Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park.  He was born in Kenosha, WI, and came here in 1977 from Dallas.  He retired after 43 years as a packaging engineer for Simmons Co., in Kenosha and Munster, IN.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member and usher of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo, Turner Brandon American Legion Post 7 in Clearwater, and Elks Lodge 981 in East Chicago, IN.  He enjoyed woodworking and golf.  Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruth; a son, Bill, Stevensville, MT; two daughters, Marge Samsoe, Missoula, MT, and Barb Samsoe, Stevensville, MT; and two grandchildren.
