IN MEMORY

Alfred Ruffalo - Class Of 1953

Alfred Freddie “Buff” Ruffalo, 80, of Kenosha died peacefully early Friday, February 7, 2014, surrounded by his loving children, in the home where he was born and raised.

Born on January 14, 1934, at home, he was the son of the late Gaspare and Filomena (Ponziano) Ruffalo.

Al attended Jefferson Elementary, Washington Jr. High, and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.

He began his career with Vincent McCall and AMC. He retired from Ladish-Tri Clover as a Machine Operator after 30 years of faithful service to the Company.

Apart from his family, Al’s life was consumed with everything to do with fishing. He was a proud member of the Kenosha Sports Fishing and Conservation Association and Walleyes Unlimited.  He will be remembered for his beautifully hand crafted rods and lures.  For over 30 years, he taught a class in fly tying.  His time spent with family at his cabin in Castle Rock, Wis., was invaluable.

He was also a proud member of IAM Lodge #34, the Italian American Society and the Moose Lodge #286.

Left to cherish their memories are his children:  Alfred (Sandra) Ruffalo, twins Laurie (Lorrey Siler) and Larry (Susan Jepson) Ruffalo, and David (Stacy) Ruffalo; his grandchildren:  Dustin and Josh Ruffalo, Breanne (Paul) McGuire, Kaylin Edwards, Austin Ruffalo, Shannon (Michael) Ruffalo-Hunter, and Lauriann Ruffalo; and 7 great- grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Art Ruffalo.

Along with his parents, Al was preceded in death by his stepmother, Concetta (Venci) Ruffalo, and two brothers, Peter and Robert Ruffalo.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at 10:00AM at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.  Mr. Ruffalo’s granddaughter will offer a Eulogy at 7:00PM on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Hospice Alliance, Inc. (10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158) or the Kenosha Visiting Nurses Association would be appreciated.
