William Yurchak - Class Of 1966

William G. "Bill" Yurchak, 59 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family January 1, 2008, at Kenosha Hospital.

Bill was born March 30, 1948, to Steve A. and June (Johns) Yurchak in Kenosha. He was educated in schools of Kenosha, and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1966.

On April 16, 1968, he entered the U.S. Army. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on April 15, 1970.  Bill married Paula Lorenzen on October 23, 1971, at St. Casimir's Catholic Church. He worked as a bindery operator at Tru-line Lithographing in Sturtevant for 26 years.

Bill was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Bradford High School Alumni, and The Three Stooges Society (Knucklehead # 104). Bill enjoyed bowling and was inducted in the Kenosha Bowling Hall of Fame. He also won the Kenosha News tournament in 1981. He was an avid Wisconsin Badger fan, Brewer fan, and Packer fan. He collected baseball cards and DVD's. He liked watching Seinfeld and entering and winning radio contests. Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife Paula; his daughters, Michelle (Eric) George of Pleasant Prairie, Colleen (Eric) Juga of Kenosha; his father Steve A. Yurchak; his brother, Steve T. (Karen) Yurchak; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Crystal, Megan, Tressa, Aubrey, and Derek. Bill is also survived by his two special sisters in-law, Janice (Don) Fuller, and Laura Lorenzen, of Kenosha; his brother-in-law, Ralph Mann of Temperance, MI; his father and mother-in law, Ed and Marge Lorenzen of Kenosha.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, June D. (Johns) Yurchak and sister-in-law Claudia Mann.
