Harold Anderson - Class Of 1939

Harold E. Anderson, 84, Granton, formerly of Kenosha, died on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at his home.

Harold Edwin Anderson was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in Kenosha, to Charles and Minnie "Mina" (nee Ferch) Anderson.  He was raised and educated in Kenosha, graduating from Kenosha High School in 1939.  He married Eleanore Wolf on May 28, 1949.  They later divorced.  

He worked as an accountant for the Eaton Corporation, Kenosha, from August 1941 until February 1983. He was also the treasurer of the Dynamatic Credit Union, Kenosha, from 1952 - 1983. After his retirement in 1983, he continued to live in Kenosha, until moving to Granton in 2002 to live with his daughter. He resided there until the time of his death.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, and a former member of the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenosha, where he served on the church council and was the head usher. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cribbage, and going out to eat with friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen (Harris) Nielsen, Granton; one grandson; and one sister, Arlene Panter, Kenosha.

A memorial service was held on November 12, 2005 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenosha. The Rev. Michael Loescher  officiated, and burial followed in Green Ridge Cemetery.
