Pauline B. Holland, 91, formerly of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Saint Monica’s Memory Care in Racine.
She was born on February 19, 1934 to the late George and Gladys (Schact) Dyutka in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1952.
On May 8, 1954, she married John Michael Holland at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2014. John was born on July 5, 1928 to the late Maurice and Mary Holland in Kenosha and was raised in Ireland. Upon returning to Kenosha, he entered the US Army, served as a medic in Korea and was honorably discharged. John worked at AMC, retiring in 1980. John is survived by a sister, Maureen, and is preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Charlie, James, Kevin and Dennis.
Pauline was a homemaker for many years and served as a Girl Scout Leader while her daughter was in Scouts. She also loved to read, and she read a book a week for an entire year.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Karen Holland; her son, Brian (Lisa) Holland; her grandchildren, Kelli Christine and Scott Gregory; her grandchildren’s mother, Sheila Stowers Holland; and two great-grandchildren, Bryan and Kaiya.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Roman, and two sisters, Delores and Joyce.
Funeral Services for Pauline will be held on Tuesday, July 8, at 11:00AM at the Bruch-Hansen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00AM until the time of service at Bruch-Hansen Funeral Home.
