Florence (Alberts) Kassel was born in Kenosha, WI on October 1, 1933. She passed away on November 27, 2021.  Known for her love of life and her positivity, she graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1956, she married Ralph Kassel. The two owned Star Furniture on Roosevelt Road until they retired in 2007. Florence loved travel, dancing, her family and lived every day to the fullest.

She is survived by daughter, Shelley Kassel Acoca; son, Mark Kassel; daughter-in-law, Laura Kassel; grandchildren: Max, Rachel and Esther; sister, Annabelle (Alberts) Collins and dozens of cousins; nieces; nephews and friends.  Her loving husband, Ralph, preceded her in death in 2010.

Donations may be made in Florence's name to the University of Wisconsin Foundation Palliative Care Program Fund.
