Marilyn Wasrick (Christensen) - Class Of 1950

Marilyn Christensen, 79 (pictured at right from the 1950 Spy), of Kenosha passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at United Hospital System, Kenosha.

Born in Kenosha, August 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (McCoustland) Wasrick a lifelong resident of Kenosha.  She attended Frank Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.

On March 11, 1952 in Newport, KY she married Robert Christensen.  He passed away November 7, 2011.

She had been employed as a Sales Clerk for S.S. Kresge Co. and later as a Nurse’s Aide and Ward Clerk at Kenosha Hospital until 1954.
She loved to knit and crochet, especially for the needy. She was a very enthusiastic Teddy Bear collector.

Surviving are her son Blain Christensen (fiancée Carol Burrows) of Kenosha; one grandson, Alex Burrows; and her two sisters, Janice Mack of Ozark, MO and Doris DeLap of Kenosha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Crystal Panzer.

As per Marilyn’s wishes, funeral services were private.
