Dianne Crook (Hendrickson) - Class Of 1961

Dianne K. Hendrickson, 73 (pictured at right from the 1961 Spy), of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 10, 1943, in Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of the late Faye F. and Helen M. (Hanson) Crook.  Dianne was a stay at home mom for many years; then self-employed with Welcome Wagon and followed with employment at Friendly's Restaurant.  She went on to study accounting, obtain her real estate license and earned a master's degree in nursing.  Dianne was then employed with Community and Southview hospitals and followed as a nursing instructor at Fortis College.  She was a member of Abiding Christ Lutheran Church in Fairborn.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James; and brother, Robert Crook.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Phelps; son, Jeffrey James Hendrickson; grandchildren, Christopher Phelps (fiancé, Emily Schindler), Kyle (Emily) Phelps, Kody Phelps, Taylor Hendrickson, Ryan Hendrickson, Madison Hendrickson; nieces, Sue Crook, Linda Johnson, Laura Orcutt and their families; and the "Bad Girls," Kallie and Kassie; former son-in-law, Craig Phelps; and former daughter-in-law, Heidi Hendrickson.

Dianne's great joy in life was her love for her children and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 12 noon at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home (422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH) with Pastor Sue Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee High School women's soccer or Hospice of Dayton.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ER and 4th floor of Soin Hospital as well as Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion. Condolences may be made to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com.

Spencer Sorenson (1961)

The photo is actually that of Pamela Cripps, whose photo was next to Dianne's in the 1961 Spy,  I am enclosing the correct photo of Dianne, a good friend in high school.
