IN MEMORY

Dennis Kanas - Class Of 1963

Dennis Paul Kanas, 76 years old, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 with his two loving sisters by his side.

Dennis was born on July 30, 1945 to LaVerne "Belle" (Polzin) and Harold "Ebe" Kanas.  Known for his excellent cooking skills and life of the party personality, Dennis was the co-owner of the Foxes Den Tavern with his parents, LaVerne and Harold.

After suffering a stroke in 1991, his family stepped in to take care of him; his sister, Karen, became his primary caretaker and spent every day with him, allowing him to live out his years at home where he wanted to be.  Dennis enjoyed golf, football, airplanes, and Roy Orbison; but above all else, he loved being around his family.

Dennis is survived by:  his four children, Peggy Kanas, Dennis (Kathy) Cecchini, Corey Kanas and Dustin Kanas; three grandchildren:  Skye, Sam and Isabella; his two sisters, Karen (Bruce) Schmoldt and Lori (Peter) Bindelli; his nephew, Chad (Kelly Seppi) Schmoldt; his niece, Denise (Chris) Gunderson; and many great-nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Harold.

The family would also like to thank the late Dr. John Capelli and his PA, Mark Peterson, for their unwavering care and support for Dennis throughout the years.

In accordance with his wishes, Dennis will be cremated, and there will not be a service.
