Dorothy Greenwald (Jones) - Class Of 1939

Dorothy M. Jones, 85, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Friday, February 3, 2006.  She was born September 28, 1920, in Kenosha to William and Caroline (Pretzman) Greenwald.  

Dorothy graduated from Kenosha Bradford High School as a member of the June Class of 1939.  On November 16, 1940, she married Robert B. Jones in Kenosha.  In August of 1959, she and Robert moved to Green Bay.  Sadly, Robert preceded her in death on August 8, 1978.  

For many years, Dorothy worked at St. Vincent Hospital on the Pediatric Floor.  She was very involved with her church.  Dorothy was a member of Annunciation Parish, the parish Mission Society, The Mary Guild of St. Mary's Hospital, the Daughters of Isabella and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.  Dorothy devoted a lot of her time to helping her special friends.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Thomas R. and Carol Jones, Mary C. and Douglas Wiech, Dee and Joe Kromenacker and Jane and Craig Kohlbeck; six grandchildren:  Tricia, Jody, Pamela, Joshua, Scott and John; seven great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, William and Maria Greenwald; her extended family, the Fallers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many other special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister, Marge Colburn.

Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church (401 Gray St., Green Bay) from 10:00AM to 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 7.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM at the church with the Rev.
