As mentioned in a brief item on our Home Page, the Class of 1940 held a mini reunion on Tuesday, October 19.  Ahead of that event, we researched members from the Class of 1940 who live out of town.  Our favorite research assistant, Bobbie Monson ’57, had found information that indicated  Jean Loewen Guthrie ’40 had passed away in November 2020, as noted in the obituary for her sister, Carolyn Loewen Fenske.

We did some searching, too, and located Carolyn's sons, Mike and Glenn, and reached out to them via letter, asking for assistance in locating an obituary for their Aunt Jean; Mary Fenske called with word that unfortunately, they did not have any additional information.
