William Klopstein, Sr. - Class Of 1955

William R. Klopstein, Sr., 79, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at his home.

Born in Kenosha on October 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Arnold and Chrystal (Dahlke) Klopstein.  A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools.

On November 2, 1957, he married Maureen Easton at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha.

William was employed with Outboard Marine Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 2000.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, working on Sudoku puzzles and 5:00AM breakfasts.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen of Kenosha; four children:  Tracy Backman of Neenah, WI; Nora (Richard) Judd of East Troy, WI; William Klopstein, Jr. of Kenosha; and Suzanne Klopstein of Kenosha; a sister, Sally Krok of Kenosha; 8 grandchildren:   Nik, Doug, Sam, Jeffrey, Aaron, Alec, Paula and Derek; and 3 great-grandchildren:   Hailey, Fiona and Emerson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Donald.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, at Proko Funeral Home from 12:00PM until the time of the service at 1:00PM.  Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
