Lucy Lanni (DiNorscia) - Class Of 1944

Lucy Ann Lanni DiNorscia of Kennett Square, Pa., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.

Lucy was born in Montegallo, Ascoli Piceno, Italy in 1924 to the late Nazzareno and Ruffina Lori Lanni (Ianni) and moved to the United States in 1926.  Her family first moved to Russellton, PA and then later to Melrose Park, IL, before settling in Kenosha, WI.  She was a graduate of Bradford High School in 1944.  After graduation she worked at Great Lakes Naval Base until she moved to Kennett Square to marry the late Anthony S. DiNorscia in 1948.  She resided at Brandywine Living at Victoria Gardens.

Lucy worked as a Kindergarten aide in the Kennett Consolidated School District and then later at Kendal Crosslands.  She was Co-Founder of BellaPizzelle, which she ran with her daughter Denise.  Lucy was also a former member of the Ladies of St. Patrick Church.

Lucy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was known for her fabulous cooking and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Lucy is survived by her five daughters:  Susan (Ronald) Kent, Rose Ann (Dr. Gary) Hess, Theresa (Andrew) Munter, Toni (David) Mount, Denise (Robert) Williams; ten grandchildren:   Christine (Brendan) Wyant, Steven (Krissy) Kent, Ryan (Brooke) Hess, Jennifer (Mark) Carello, Michael (Jennifer) Munter, Jason (Mandy) Munter, Brian (Becky) Mount, Michael (Amanda) Mount, Matthew (Camila) Mount, Lori Williams;, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Tillie Drewel of Kenosha, WI.

Lucy is predeceased by her siblings, Raldo Lanni, Lydia Fieramosca, Melba Aulozzi, Sandy Barcalow, and her son-in-law, Stephen Callahan.

You are invited to visit with Lucy's friends and family on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 8:30AM until 10:30AM at Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.  Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.

Lucy touched many hearts and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
